DAnny McDermed

Hopefully dark, passionately soft, acoustic singer songwriter from Chicago, Illinois

Exploring themes of love, tragedy, shadow, meaning, and hope in both abstract and concrete forms brings Danny meaning in a world where a man with a 9 to 5 can bare the content of his soul in music he can call his own.

After Danny finished his schooling and started working as an engineer, he realized that he longed for music in his life again. Having started playing guitar, performing, and singing in 5th grade, he was faced with a decision in his adulthood on whether to rekindle his use of the electric guitar, or step into a new venture.

For Danny, the acoustic guitar became the center of his reignited love and journey into music. By drawing inspiration from his Van Halen electric guitar roots, fascination with EDM, Japanese City Pop, anime melodies, and the songwriting of John Mayer, Hozier, Alice in Chains, The Police, and Bon Iver, Danny has attempted to express what he hopes to be something that sounds like himself.
